Cataract Pass at upper right.Mount Stewart rises in the distance at left.Looking back at Cataract Pass (upper left) from the first moraine we mistakenly ascended.Eric follows me along the confusing undulating moraines in the upper Cataract Creek valley.Sunrise on the rockwall looming to the west over Cataract Creek.Views back to Cataract Pass (L), Guardgoat Peak (C), Cline Pass (R) and Mount Willis (R).Crossing Cataract Creek.Working our way down the Cataract Creek valley.The Cirrus Ramparts loom over the valley on its western side.Marmot remains - maybe a grizzly got him?Eric comes along behind me with Cataract Pass at distant center.A lovely morning as we look ahead to the long side hill traverse to access easy SW slopes.This route might go, but I kept traversing further south.Views down Cataract Creek to Mount Minster (L) and Burwash (R).Views up the easy south slopes of Mount Stewart.Looking up at the trudge to the summit after finally crossing numerous gullies and traversing kilometers along the base of Stewart.Eric is a tiny dot behind me now. Cirrus at right.I took advantage of as much snow as I could for the ascent.The entire Cataract Creek valley stretches out below me now.
