From the bridge over Timber Creek, Hensley is barely visible at distant center. It all starts out quite innocent. The innocence doesn't last long!Wondering what the heck I'm doing here. Even a few meters in either direction made a huge differenceThis might look fairly benign but it's not.Acres and acres of deadfall and undergrowth.I tried to find more open lines.Descending to a small creek.I had to walk through several swampy areas. Mosquitoes were brutal here. The energy required to walk through this terrain is nuts.I decided to cross one more drainage before giving up.And this is what I found on the other side of the drainage (still west of Timber Creek)!A trail. I couldn't believe my good fortune. The trail is cut through some nasty sections of deadfall and burnt forest. The trail is cut through some nasty sections of deadfall and burnt forest.Unfortunately I have to go further east towards Timber Creek and the trail seemed to end here anywayThank goodness the slopes above the trail are fairly open.Interesting growth in the burn.Back in the suck as I traverse to Timber Creek. Finally Timber Creek appears.
