It all starts out quite innocent. The innocence doesn't last long!Wondering what the heck I'm doing here. Even a few meters in either direction made a huge differenceThe energy required to walk through this terrain is nuts.I decided to cross one more drainage before giving up.And this is what I found on the other side of the drainage (still west of Timber Creek)! The trail is cut through some nasty sections of deadfall and burnt forest.Unfortunately I have to go further east towards Timber Creek and the trail seemed to end here anywayThank goodness the slopes above the trail are fairly open.Interesting growth in the burn.Back in the suck as I traverse to Timber Creek. Finally Timber Creek appears. It felt wonderful to be in the open creek. I can see the obstruction that Jose mentions right away. The narrow canyon section isn't easily passible.Bypassing the canyon on the west side of the creek.Views back to the canyon.Looking up creek to Hensley.Views back towards Peskett (L) and Corona Ridge (C).Near a split in the creek. The left hand branch leads towards the rib that I'll descend later. The snow was greatly appreciated.
