From the clearing near the pullout you can see the massively foreshortened gully that we will ascend left of center.Looking up the lower SW gully on Vaux.Looking up the lower SW gully on Vaux.Already hundreds of meters of vertical above the Trans Canada highway but only just starting the scramble!Looking up the lower SW gully on Vaux.Gazing down the gully - we haven't even passed tree line yet...Finally gaining height into the middle of the gully which can be seen curving to the left up ahead.Thankfully we're in the shade while ascending this beast.
