An empty parking lot.A beautiful, sunny winter day as I hike up the Skogan Pass trail.Views from where I realized I went too far and turned back around weren't too shabby.Looking up the Bow Valley. The Orphan, Big, Middle and Little Sister, Lawrence Grassi, Ha Ling, EEOR and Rundle from L to R.Looking back over Skogan Pass towards Old Baldy and Mount McDougall.The summit looks a long way off but it's not as bad as it appears.Mount McGillivray lies to the east.Looking past McGillivray on the left towards Skogan Peak.Looking past the north buttress of McGillivray to Yamnuska (L).Vern on the summit.Views across the TCH include Fable, Gap, Morrowmount, Goat, Loder, Door Jamb and Yamnuska.Views across lac des arcs.Grotto Mountain.Mount McGillivray lies to the east.Looking past McGillivray on the left towards Skogan Peak.Easy descent slopes under the summit.Looking at the snow traverse and the false summit as I descend.On descent, looking over Skogan Pass.Descending back to the Skogan Pass trail.Views from Wind Tower (L) to the Three Sisters (R).
